Arqiva, a UK communications infrastructure and media services company, is using SeaChange International (NASDAQ:SEAC) software and professional services to create the metadata foundation for Freeview Play, a subscription-free connected TV service. Freeview is managed by DTV Services, a company owned and run by BBC, Sky, Channel 4, ITV and Arqiva.
Arqiva will be using SeaChange's Adrenalin multiscreen video platform to aggregate, manage and deliver metadata from multiple sources for the Freeview electronic program guide for connected TVs and set-top boxes. Arqiva will also use SeaChange Professional Services for customer integration, deployment and post-launch service monitoring and management.
