Huawei announced that its Distributed Converged Cable Access Platform (D-CCAP) has passed the first and second rounds of CableLabsDOCSIS 3.1 interoperability testing. The multi-vendor interoperability tests involved equipment providers, device chipset manufacturers and instrument vendors.
During the interoperability tests, Huawei's D-CCAP solution completed 192 MHz downstream channel modulation using 4096-QAM, with a bandwidth increase to 2.5 Gbps. Huawei also completed upstream physical layer modulation with 1024-QAM at 48 MHz.
