ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS) and Conax (SIX:KUD:S) will be demonstrating the joint capabilities of ARRIS's DASH repackaging and Conax's multi-DRM encryption at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. The demo will highlight IP video delivery for an ARRIS customer in the Caribbean using ARRIS' Spectrum SDC software. It features a collaboration with UXP Systems and Conax; ARRIS says the demo represents the first production deployment of DASH using this ABR format.

ARRIS's Spectrum SDC is designed to remove the need to encode, encrypt and store each file in multiple formats. The demo is intended to show how the solutions can enable service providers to monitor and control each IP video stream for quality and security management through integration with Conax's DRM technology and UXP Systems' unified IPTV access.
