Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) is introducing the latest release of its Content Management System for multiscreen and multiplatform media, including live-to-VOD recording and workflow analytics.

The CMS is intended to integrate with media management, media processing and other broadcast infrastructure to provide a platform for the end-to-end management of content operations for the video industry, including content owners, content aggregators, broadcasters and pay TV operators.

The solution is designed for agile throughput from ingestion to distribution and a content library that scales up to 10 million titles. Automated template workflows and open adapter-based cloud-ready architecture are intended to enable operators to merge content silos and transition to TV Everywhere platforms and networks. It also features a simplified multi-language, GUI-based user portal and is available as an option in off-the-shelf configurations. The latest release is expected to be available in May.

In other Ericsson news, the company is working with Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) Security to make managed security solutions available for telecom operators to bundle with the existing services they provide to enterprises. Initial offerings will include intrusion prevention system services, e-mail security and web security solutions.
