Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) has announced a number of European collaborations and customer wins at ANGA COM in Germany, including with VECTOR, VOO and QuickLine.

Cisco and VECTOR announced their collaborative efforts to offer cable operators access technology from both companies including nodes, RF amplifiers and DOCSIS 3.1 remote PHY (R-PHY) equipment. The collaboration is a response to the need for European-style products for optimized size and power consumption on the so-called compact form factor.

Cisco and Belgian cable operator VOO are collaborating on a Videoscape solution to power a new video service delivered through the recently announced VOO .évasion decoder box. Available this summer to VOO customers, the .évasion box will have a series of features, powered by Videoscape Snowflake, including a new user interface (UI) and mosaic video navigation wall and personalized suggestions via a recommendation engine. It also includes an "app store" customizable to service each member of the household with practical information including weather and local news. Additional features include a "Restart" function and a "See or review" function.

Finally, Quickline AG in Switzerland plans to deploy Cisco's cBR-8 CCAP across Quickline's footprint, including 21 independent cable operators. Quickline provides IT, telecommunications and multimedia services to 400,000residential and business customers in Switzerland.
