The Metro Ethernet Forum has selected ADVA Optical Networking, Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR) and Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) Business Class to host a joint network functions virtualization (NFV) demonstration at the MEF's GEN15 networking event in Dallas this week.
The demo is intended to show how NFV-centric services integrate with existing operations and business processes of communication service providers (CSPs). The MEF selected ADVA, TWC Business Class and Juniper because they collectively show how CSPs can effectively accomplish the transition to NFV-centric networks. The demo will be featured as part of the MEF's Proof of Concept showcase and will be available to view from Nov. 16-19.
