At NAB 2016 in Las Vegas, Anvato will showcase several upgrades to its Media Content Platform (MCP), including support for 360 degree video, and a cloud-based OTT workflow for programmers intended to provide new options for distribution and monetization of unaired content.

The cloud-based OTT workflow is intended for publishing, distribution and monetization of behind-the-scenes content, extended interviews that did not make the newscast, or other content that programmers would like to provide to their viewers but are unable to air during live broadcasts. Programmers can use existing broadcast infrastructure, but add playout, encoding, clip editing, OTT channel creation and live-to-VOD asset creation in the cloud.

Other demonstrations at the show will include:

  • Support for 360 degree video where content creators can take advantage of parallel video processing, enabling delivery of files that support filming the full field of view, similar to virtual reality
  • Ad insertion designed to defeat ad blockers in an OTT environment with one solution for iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast
  • Instant live-to-VOD capabilities
