Alpha Technologies has announced a new headend fiber management system, the Alpha Ultra High Density Fiber Panel with PEACOC technology (Platform with Enhanced Access for Compact Optical Connectors).

With the first configuration at 1RU, the panel accommodates 144 simplex LC connectors. As the requirement for fiber connections increases, additional rack units can be added totaling 5,760 connections in 40 RU.

Alpha's PEACOC technology allows tool-less access to the front and back connections in the panel, and also from the same side of the rack. Once the panel is open, numbered connector points fan outward to separate the connectors.

Cable sleeves and routing along the front, back, and side of the rack are designed to simplify to identifying and distinguishing connection points inside the panel. The cable sleeves allow the unit to open and close without the interference of cabling.
