At IBC2017 in Amsterdam, Conax is launching its modular multiscreen hub, Conax Arena, intended to encompass all key components needed to launch a multiscreen video offering. The solution is pre-integrated with middleware from Accedo, Beenius, OpenTV and TiVo.

The Conax Arena multiscreen hub is built on the company's back-end Conax Contego security solution. It combines Contego with Conax CMS with its middleware and application partners to pre-integrate with major encoder, CDN and set-top vendors. The Conax Content Management System (CMS) is a cloud based CMS for managing, publishing, and distributing live and on-demand video services.

"We are proud to announce Conax Arena at IBC 2017 - a natural extension to our portfolio of flexible and modular solutions. Continuing Conax' renowned open partner policy, Arena empowers our customers to combine best of breed partner technologies of choice into a complete, pre-integrated service offering," said Tom Jahr, EVP of products and partners, Conax. "Our aim is help operators drastically reduce both CAPEX and provide a multiscreen service usually available to only the largest operators in the world. Arena enables premium flexibility offering pay TV operators freedom to choose most suitable user experience and middleware for their regional market requirements. The Arena hub represents the perfect foundation for future growth supporting the modular, pay-as-you grow price model in line with all Conax offerings."

In other Conax news, the company announced the launch of Conax Lynx, a TEE (Trusted Execution Environment)-based solution, and Conax Prime Access, a cardless security client designed for hybrid set-top-boxes. Both are designed to let operators add OTT services alongside premium linear content on hybrid set-tops, including UltraHD with HDR and early release window MovieLabs content.
