At the SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver, Espial (TSX:ESP) will demonstrate the latest upgrades to its Elevate cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) video platform. Elevate is a multiscreen, multi-tenant platform intended for IPTV, cable, and over-the-top (OTT) operators.

The multi-tenant design of the Elevate platform is designed to enable new features to be entitled quickly across an entire community of service providers. At Expo, new Elevate features such as IPTV, IP video, voice control, Android TV and a new user interface (UI) will be shown.

Voice control features added to Elevate through Amazon Alexa are intended to enable end users to change channels, search the guide, manage and play both VOD and DVR recordings, as well as pause, rewind, and fast-forward. Android TV provides an apps environment and a consistent user experience (UX) with other Elevate devices. New cloud DVR functionality allows end users to watch more content and simultaneously record additional shows.

Elevate is designed to be deployable in less than 90 days.
