At the SCTE/ISBE Cable Tec Expo in Denver, Rohde & Schwarz is showing its R&S DSA DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 signal analyzer, designed to enable real-time analysis of signals so that cable operators can test whether their network and network components comply with DOCSIS requirements.

The analyzer is intended to be used to install, maintain and service cable modem termination systems (CMTSs) at cable headends, as well as troubleshooting headend problems and problems with network components in the field. It analyzes in the downstream and upstream (upstream in preparation) up to MER of > 50 dB.

To ensure interference-free coexistence of DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 and digital TV channels in cable networks, the R&S DSA can optionally analyze J.83/A/B and DVB-C digital TV signals.
