WOW! (NYSE:WOW) announced the availability of gigabit broadband speeds in Farmington, MI, following continued expansion of the company's Detroit and Livonia network. WOW!'s residential and business services are now available to more than 2,800 residential and business customers in the community.

WOW! currently offers residential and business services in Detroit, Livonia, Grosse Pointe Shores and Mid-Michigan, including Grand Rapids and Greater Lansing. WOW! began the construction of necessary network infrastructure for Farmington in August. WOW!'s gigabit services are based on DOCSIS 3.1. In November, the company announced plans to launch DOCSIS 3.1 across more than 95% of its existing footprint in early 2018. Last week, WOW! launched DOCSIS 3.1 gigabit in Powell, TN, in an expansion of its Knoxville network.

"WOW! has put a lot of emphasis on our expansion across the state of Michigan," said Greg Argetsinger, VP of operations. "With the completion of our Farmington buildout, WOW! is now offering our services to over 40,000 new customers across Michigan since the beginning of 2017."

WOW! offers four residential Internet speed tiers: Internet 10 - 10 Mbps, Internet 100 - 100 Mbps, Internet 500 - 500 Mbps, and Internet 1000 - 1 Gbps.
