Edge Intelligence, developer of a distributed analytics platform for both edge computing and hybrid cloud environments, and Edgeworx Solutions, a provider of network and application performance monitoring, announced a new partnership. Edgeworx will offer Edge Intelligence's centrally managed, geographically distributed analytics platform to communication service providers, cable operators and large enterprises in Canada.
Edgeworx' technology is intended to help create operational insights from the monitoring of large networks, including those of telecommunications providers and cable multiple system operators (MSOs). Edge Intelligence's software platform is intended to enable service providers to collect, correlate, analyze and retain data across geographies without physically moving it to gain near real-time intelligence.
"In order for telecommunications and cable providers to capitalize on opportunities with their subscribers, they need a comprehensive understanding of their network traffic and how it correlates to subscriber usage," said John McKerracher, president at Edgeworx. "By offering Edge Intelligence's platform on top of the solutions we already provide, we will empower customers to understand their end users on a granular level, enabling them to drive even stronger business results. Teaming with Edge Intelligence enhances our portfolio and value proposition, and we are excited about the benefits that the partnership can deliver to our customers."
"Edge Intelligence is expanding its go-to-market plan into Canada by working with Edgeworx, one of the most recognized and well-respected network monitoring solution providers in the space," said Kate Mitchell, co-founder and CEO of Edge Intelligence. "Edgeworx will help introduce our distinctive approach to edge analytics that is able to keep pace with the massive growth in network traffic and provide near real-time insights on datasets that can exceed trillions of records. In addition to helping better understand network traffic, our platform is extensible to other use cases such as IoT, edge computing and emerging services that will leverage 5G infrastructure build-out. We look forward to working with Edgeworx to help businesses extract insight from data within large network deployments now and in the future."
