1Tennessee has deployed Harmonic's (NASDAQ:HLIT) CableOS virtualized cable access solution for DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 broadband service delivery. The deployment is intended to enable 1Tennessee to deliver gigabit Internet speeds today, while also creating a foundation for future speed enhancements.

1Tennessee's architecture is powered by the centralized CableOS solution with a software-based CMTS core and PHY shelves located in remote facilities. It relies on COTS servers and switches. 1Tennessee has launched a 1 Gbps Internet offering based on the technology.
