Alexandre Fonseca to replace Dexter Goei as Altice USA executive chairman of the board

March 23, 2023
Fonseca was named Altice Group co-CEO in 2022. Prior to that, he was CEO of Altice Portugal for almost 5 years.

Altice USA (NYSE: ATUS) has announced that Alexandre Fonseca, currently co-CEO of Altice Group in Europe, will join its board and replace Dexter Goei as executive chairman. Goei will remain a director of the board.

Fonseca was named Altice Group co-CEO in 2022. Prior to that, he was CEO of Altice Portugal for almost 5 years. He also has served as CTO of Altice Portugal and led the Altice Labs Research and Development Center for the Altice Group worldwide. Fonseca came to Altice from Cabovisão, where he also held the title of CTO.

“I’m honored to take on this role at such an important time at Altice USA,” commented Fonseca. “The company today finds itself in a position of strength thanks to the stewardship of CEO Dennis Mathew and his leadership team, and I look forward to working with him and my fellow directors to capitalize on this momentum and further accelerate the value we provide to our employees, customers, and shareholders.”

The change at the top comes as Altice USA has reshaped its executive leadership team. Last month, the company named Marc Sirota as CFO, Leroy Williams as chief growth officer, David Williams as chief revenue officer, and Shuvankar Roy as chief customer experience officer. Leroy Williams and Roy fill new positions, while Sirota and David Williams replace retiring predecessors. All of the new executives report Altice USA CEO Dennis Mathew.
