Comcast Business Services Florida East Coast Region is launching a partnership with ColoHouse to provide customers with additional options for redundant power and data center services. The partnership with Colohouse's major Miami data center is intended to help provide customers with the continuation of Internet and telecommunications connectivity in the event of power loss.ColoHouse's Data Center is a carrier-neutral operation housed in a 24,000-square-foot facility located outside FEMA's 500-year flood zone and is designed to withstand a Category 5 hurricane. The partnership is intended to allow customers to connect with Comcast facilities at the ColoHouse Miami Data Center to establish backup services in case of a power loss for any reason. The service extends disaster recovery services to any sized business.
