Shaw Biz Inks Internet Deal with Winnipeg

Shaw Communications (NYSE:SJR) announced a multi-year agreement with the city of Winnipeg to improve the city's network access and connection by providing a 35-site virtual private LAN service (VPLS).The agreement has Shaw Business creating separate VPLS domains for each of the city's business units as part of a 42-site network with optional QoS. Shaw Business will also be providing carrier grade Internet for all city employees, as well as libraries, police services, water and waste. Libraries will also get complimentary Shaw WiFi.
