Report: Biz Services a Tough Proposition

According to a new study from The Insight Research Corp., cable operators may find the business services segment an increasingly tough row to hoe.While the U.S. cable operators may make $7 billion from business services this year, they will be chasing a declining business services segment and face fierce competition from entrenched telcos ready to defend their existing base. Cable operators will gain some market share, but they will remain small players in a big industry with low margins and little cash flow, the research house says.
