Rogers Unveils Multiscreen Video App

Canadian cable op Rogers Communications (TSE:RCI) has added to its NextBox 2.0 in Ontario with the Rogers Anyplace TV Home Edition application for tablets and smartphones. The new application is available on iPad and iPhone now and is expected to launch on Android tablets and smartphones later this year.The app's features include:


  • Use a tablet or smartphone to search and navigate TV listings


  • Use a tablet or smartphone as a virtual remote control


  • Manage PVR recordings from a tablet and smartphone


  • Scroll through the interactive guide on a tablet, browser or smartphone


  • Live stream 25 channels in the home on a tablet with a Rogers Digital TV subscription, when connected to Rogers Hi-Speed Speed Internet
