NAGRA, a Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S) company, will highlight the HTML5-based user interface (UI) capabilities of its latest media convergence solution, OpenTV 5, at the 2013 Cable Show in Washington, DC, in June as part of the CableNET exhibit. OpenTV 5 is intended to enable service providers to customize the user interface using HTML5 while ensuring a seamless user experience across devices.This capability is designed to allow for the deployment of new features and a variety of applications to subscribers, while allowing service providers to experiment with new business models and explore new revenue opportunities. OpenTV 5 is intended to give service providers the ability to securely deliver Internet and OTT services to set-top boxes with the reliability of traditional broadcast TV services. Its gateway capabilities enable an array of live video services for tablets, PCs and smartphones in the home.
