Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE:ALU) is introducing an EPON solution designed to be integrated into existing cable networks to expand capacity for business services. The company says Bright House Networks has selected it for its commercial services network.Alcatel-Lucent's EPON solution for MSOs is based on the company's 7360 ISAM FX with 1G EPON and 10G EPON linecards. It's designed to support DPoE, EPON small form-factor pluggable (SFP) optical network units (ONUs), and a 10G EPON ONU.
