Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) Business Class announced the start of its first "Virtual Visit" Telemedicine trial with Cleveland Clinic. TWCBC's "Virtual Visit" solution is part of the company's Home Health Monitoring strategy and is intended to enable healthcare providers to engage and interact with patients in their homes.The "Virtual Visit" solution enables Cleveland Clinic healthcare professionals to deliver services remotely to a patient's home, interacting through a TV set equipped with video conferencing technology. The patient can speak and interact with the care provider using encrypted two-way video from the home.
