Rogers Communications (NYSE:RCI) announced the expansion of its data center business in Western Canada and a new operating unit, Rogers Data Centres. It launches today with a newly expanded data center in Edmonton and confirmed plans to open a Western Canada flagship data center in Calgary in January.Rogers Data Centres now operates in 14 locations across the country, servicing more than 870 small, medium, government and enterprise clients. The expanded Rogers Data Centres Edmonton facility adds approximately 6,000 square feet of newly constructed raised floor space. Opening in January, the Calgary facility will offer 80,000 square feet of raised space.
