Accedian Networks announced its Cable Operator/MSO solution, which consists of the company's new antMODULE and V-NID. The solution also utilizes network functions virtualization (NFV) offload to scale in a centralized manner. It's designed for 24/7 performance visibility, SLA measurements, automated service activation testing and end-to-end troubleshooting without changing the operator's installed base of cable modems.

Accedian's antMODULE works in conjunction with the V-NID to deliver SLA-based services. The solution also leverages NFV to deliver virtualized instances from the operator's data center. The NFV Offload Engine leverages the antMODULE to execute Layer 2 and Layer 3 performance assurance functions normally done by test equipment.
