Rogers Communications (NYSE:RCI) has appointed Nitin Kawale president, Enterprise Business Unit, effective Dec. 1. In his new role, the 30-year tech veteran will be responsible for the delivery of the company's enterprise business strategy and commercial plan covering small and medium business, enterprise and public sector customers.

Kawale joins Rogers from Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) Canada, where he was president since 2008. He joined Cisco in 1995. The appointment follows the unveiling of Rogers 3.0, a multi-year strategy that includes better serving Canadian businesses.
