WOW! Biz Expands Windy City Fiber

WOW! Business has purchased a segment of fiber conduit in the downtown Chicago central business district. The acquisition is intended to enable the company to provide business tenants in 38 downtown buildings with high-speed Internet, voice, data and cloud computing services. WOW! Business purchased an approximately one-mile length of empty fiber conduit, which it plans to fill with a 432-count fiber-optic cable during the second quarter of this year.

WOW! Business is also adding about 1,200 miles of fiber to provide fiber backhaul for more than 500 cell towers in the Chicago metropolitan area. The company has also rolled out Ethernet, SIP trunking, hosted VoIP and high-speed Internet services to local businesses.
