Bright House Networks has launched a public WiFi network, BHN Secure. The encrypted network is intended to offer customers authenticated access to the more than 45,000 Bright House hotspots throughout the company's service areas.

To login to BHN Secure Public WiFi, customers simply need to choose the "BHN Secure" selection on their available WiFi networks and login using their My Services credentials. On iOS devices, customers can also install the BHN Secure WiFi profile, which will enable them to automatically connect to the secure network at all times. Bright House hotspots can be found through the company's WiFi Finder App, which is available to download for Apple and Android Devices.

In other Bright House news, the company's Enterprise Solutions business services arm has launched DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) Mitigation, adding the cloud-based Internet security service to its existing array of managed services. The new DDoS Mitigation service is designed to protect organizations from DDoS attacks by stopping them before they ever reach a firm's corporate network. The new service provides real-time threat detection, which notifies a business when attacks are imminent, and diverts the threat away from the organization's network.
