This year Cable ONE is investing nearly $3.5 million in technology, equipment, and infrastructure upgrades in its Fargo, ND, network. The upgrades are intended to enhance the speed and reliability of the company's Internet, video (including HD and all-digital) and phone services. Over the past five years, Cable ONE has invested more than $16 million in Fargo.

The company recently completed an upgrade that included tripling the capacity of its high-speed data equipment, adding additional circuit capacity to its fiber backbone, and the installation of two new CMTSs. Other upgrades coming this year include the replacement of 52,000 feet of cable with larger capacity cable and the installation of 21 new nodes. Cable ONE also plans to expand business services in new service areas.

The company recently converted to all-digital service and launched 40 new channels in March, including a number of new HD channels.

Cable ONE recently increased Internet up- and downstream speeds on its Premier and Ultra plans as a free upgrade to new and existing Internet customers in Fargo. Customers on Cable ONE's Premier 60 Mbps plan were automatically upgraded to 75 Mbps downstream and 5 Mbps upstream, and customers on the Ultra 70 Mbps plan were automatically upgraded to 100 Mbps downstream and 10 Mbps upstream.
