Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Business is expanding its fiber network to the Meyers Business Park in Chico, CA, to support data center and cloud services. Comcast installed more than three and a half miles of fiber, both underground and aerial, from its existing lines to the business park and its 166 businesses. The expansion comes as a result of a more than $350,000 investment from Comcast.
The fiber network is designed to support business services with Internet speeds up to 10 Gbps. Available services in the area will include Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line, Ethernet Network Services and Comcast Business VoiceEdge.
