WOW! Wholesale, a division of WOW! Business, announced the availability of its Ethernet over Hybrid Fiber Coax (EoHFC) service within its network coverage area. The service is intended for carrier customers to deliver bandwidth to multi-site businesses, branch and remote offices and small- and medium-size businesses within a metro area. It also features 24/7 NOC and service support.

The WOW! Business EoHFC service is designed to offer symmetrical speeds of 3, 5 and 10 Mbps (best effort and prioritized options), support Metro Ethernet Forum topologies such as Ethernet Line (ELINE) and Ethernet LAN (ELAN), and provide interoperability with fiber-based Ethernet access.

The MPLS-based business service features Resource Reservation Protocol - Traffic Engineering (RSVP-TE) with signaled Label Switched Paths (LSPs) and Fast Reroute (FRR), as well as the use of External Network to Network Interface (ENNI) connections to extend services over additional distances.
