Comcast Business (NASDAQ:CMCSA) announced an agreement with the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators to provide a customized, multi-gigabit fiber connection inside Bridgestone Arena, and Ford Ice Center. The infrastructure upgrade is intended to support business operations and overall game-day experiences.
Comcast Business will furnish the back-end infrastructure to supply dedicated Internet service and cloud-based communications services for the team's business operation, including enhancing the overall experience for Predators fans. The services are intended to enable the Predators to share business data and to offer complimentary WiFi for access to the Internet, the Nashville Predators mobile app, news and social media applications.
"This agreement with Comcast Business will dramatically enhance the technology inside Bridgestone Arena, aligning with our current efforts in digitally transforming the overall experience for all fans, guests, performers and athletes who visit Smashville," said Chris Junghans, EVP, chief revenue officer for the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena.
Comcast Business also provides television service for the Predators' suites, offices, concourses and arena restaurants.
