Toy company Tangle Creations is using Comcast Business (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Ethernet and Business VoiceEdge to support WiFi, Ethernet, secure access to the cloud and cloud-based voice services.

Based in San Francisco, Tangle Creations was founded nearly 40 years ago on the concept of "Creativity for All." The company has specialized in the design and manufacturing of unique playthings for children and adults of all ages. Over time, the company has expanded and evolved to target several new niche markets including therapy, education, promotions and night sports games.

"The craze of the fidget-friendly toy has been a boon to our business and required us to expand our headquarters while ensuring we had the right network solutions to make it as seamless as possible, and it was clear Comcast Business understood this," said Nicholas Zawitz, executive vice president of Tangle Creations. "Given that our servers are web-based, if the Internet goes down, we're out of luck. We need to be able to send bandwidth-rich graphic files to our design studio and other locations on a whim via the cloud. Thanks to Comcast Business, we're no longer worried about having the bandwidth to support our business needs, and can instead focus on what we do best - providing a creative toy line and empowering kids of all ages."

Tangle Creations initially installed 150 Mbps Business Internet and now has upgraded to 100 Mbps Ethernet to connect to its Hong Kong location and securely access cloud resources. The toy company is also using Comcast Business VoiceEdge, a cloud-based voice and unified communications (UC) solution to support its phone-based transactions.

"For independent companies like Tangle Creations, it's important to be able to conduct business within the global economy," said David Brown, vice president of Comcast Business for California. "Comcast's robust network solutions are ideal for these businesses who rely on the price and efficiency benefits of the cloud to conduct transactions and interact with their customers, while also having the bandwidth and scalability to support their business requirements. These companies know they can rely on the Comcast Business network to not just meet, but exceed their expectations."
