Packerland Broadband has selected Alianza's software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for its cable VoIP platform, Cloud Voice Platform.
Packerland Broadband delivers telecommunications services in 60 communities throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The NCTC member company is working with Microsoft's Airband Initiative to extend its network utilizing TV white spaces, WiFi and other technologies to deliver broadband access to approximately 82,000 people in underserved areas over the next four years.
"We love the simplicity of the Cloud Voice Platform and the tight partner alignment we have with Alianza," said Cory Heigl, vice president and general manager of Packerland Broadband. "With this new solution, our cloud communications suite is more robust, and we're delivering greater value to our customers."
Packerland Broadband is migrating from a CLEC wholesale solution. Since 2014, more than 20 NCTC providers have upgraded their VoIP solution from hosted softswitch solutions from a variety of providers, to Alianza's cloud solution for residential and business communications.
"Packerland Broadband is bridging the digital divide in rural Michigan and Wisconsin," said Camille Issa, vice president of sales at Alianza. "Working together, we are helping Packerland Broadband deliver a compelling and modern cloud communications suite that connects residents and businesses in the communities it serves."
Alianza is an NCTC Approved Vendor and will be exhibiting at NCTC's Winter Education Conference in Atlanta.
