A five-year enterprise license agreement has been struck between Schurz Communications (Centennial, CO) and NCTI, Inc. With the agreement, Schurz employees across all its broadband properties will have access to job-related content in addition to other resources, tools, and information via NCTI’s learning platform, NCTI Amp.

The new license covers technical, call center, leadership, and management training. Students will also have the advantage of earning college credit toward an Associate of Applied Science degree in Broadband Technology and Communication from NCTI’s training partner, Arapahoe Community College.

“The most important resource Schurz Communications has is our employees. We believe that by continuing to reinvest in our employees we become stronger as a company,” said Tom Williams, Chief Technology Officer for Schurz. “Partnering with NCTI provides our employees the opportunity to expand their profession through a solid college education and a defined career path. The result is a ripple across Schurz Communications and its properties. From customer satisfaction to confidence in job performance which leads to increased retention, it positively impacts our organization, and our customers benefit from the enhanced level of service. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

In addition to training content, the license gives Schurz flexibility with information and analytics.

Williams added, “NCTI’s platform permits us to integrate and access data, providing a clear lens to track employee growth progression and helps us decide future direction from a training, service and business perspective.”

Of the unprecedented five-year contract with Schurz, NCTI CEO Stacey Slaughter said: “This agreement speaks volumes about Schurz’s dedication to improving the lives of its students and the success of the business. The training made available to Schurz employees will help prepare teams for an increase in fiber deployments over the next several years due to the unprecedented growth in broadband consumption. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an employee and future-focused program.”

Signed ahead of the December 2020 holidays, the deal went into effect on January 1, 2021. For more information, visit www.schurz.com and www.ncti.com.
