FastBridge Fiber ramps up Pennsylvania broadband network construction

May 1, 2023
Construction has begun on the local ISP's recently announced fiber broadband expansion to the Greater Williamsport area, and will begin soon in the towns of Bloomsburg and Danville Borough.

Pennsylvania-based ISP FastBridge Fiber on Apr. 27 announced that construction has begun on the company's recently announced fiber broadband expansion to the Greater Williamsport area, and that it will begin construction in the towns of Bloomsburg and Danville Borough in coming weeks.

FastBridge Fiber offers internet with symmetrical upload/download speeds from 500 Megabits up to 2 Gigabits over its brand-new fiber internet network, providing an optimal experience for streaming, gaming, learning, and working from home.

"We're thrilled to be expanding our network to the City of Williamsport, the town of Bloomsburg and the Danville Borough. These are great communities that have not had access to fast, fiber internet and broadband competition. Like power and water, access to fast, reliable internet is a necessity for our daily lives," said Eric Warren, CEO of FastBridge Fiber.

FastBridge's fully fiber-optic network will provide both residents and businesses in these areas with access to fast, future-proof broadband services. The ISP said it will begin connecting the first customers in these areas this summer.

Notably, as previously reported by BTR, FastBridge Fiber is supported by equity financing from certain client accounts of Guggenheim Investments, the global asset management and investment advisory division of Guggenheim Partners, with more than $252 billion in total assets across fixed income, equity, and alternative strategies.

In the following customer-facing video posted recently to Youtube, FastBridge Fiber urges subscribers to "cut the cord on cable."
