ZCorum intros SOCaaS managed cybersecurity for BSPs

June 1, 2023
ZCorum contends the launch of its CyberZCurity "Security Operations Center as a Service" (SOCaaS) platform is especially timely, since federal broadband funding such as the BEAD program will require compliance with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

ZCorum (Alpharetta, GA) has unveiled a new managed cybersecurity platform offering for broadband service providers. CyberZCurity is the latest addition to the company’s product lineup, offering a managed, cloud-based Security Operations Center (SOC) framework that eliminates the complexity and heavy lifting needed for effective cybersecurity threat prevention and remediation.

The company says its CyberZCurity managed cybersecurity solution is being offered as a "Security Operations Center as a Service" (SOCaaS) platform, sparing operators the need to set up, manage and staff their own SOCs.

Intended to ease the burden for broadband providers in guarding their networks against escalating cyber threats, the company says the new platform fortifies broadband network defenses with an advanced SOC, plus threat detection and prevention capabilities to safeguard service provider networks.

“We are able to provide broadband operators with a fully functioning SOC for much less than it would cost to set up the technology and the security team required to effectively manage it,” explained ZCorum’s VP of strategic technologies, Carlos Bustamante. “Our service includes advanced threat detection and hunting to protect against malware, ransomware and zero-day exploits, managed endpoint security, and 24/7 access to security experts.”

The new cybersecurity offering is especially timely; Bustamante noted that ZCorum’s cybersecurity technology and expertise will immediately help broadband operators comply with the Cybersecurity Framework published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which must be adhered to in order to receive funding through the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) funding program.

"As cyber threats become more sophisticated, it’s crucial to stay ahead of the curve with advanced cybersecurity capabilities," concluded Julie Compann, president and CEO of ZCorum. "We are thrilled to introduce CyberZCurity as the comprehensive solution broadband providers will need to protect their critical infrastructure against today’s threats and those that will come."

ZCorum will be introducing the managed cybersecurity offering at the upcoming UTC Telecom & Technology Conference (June 5-9) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
