Google se unió a Algar Telecom (Brasil), Angola Cables y Antel (Uruguay) para invertir en cable submarino de fibra óptica que conectará a Santos y Fortaleza en Brasil con Boca Ratón, FL. TE Connectivity SubCom es el proveedor del proyecto. La nueva ruta tendrá 10 556 km y seis pares de fibra. Aumentará el ancho de banda general de los sistemas de cable submarino actuales llegando a los 64 Tbps de capacidad. La construcción comenzó de inmediato y su finalización está prevista para fines de 2016.
