Great Lakes Data Systems' flagship WinCable subscriber management and billing system has been integrated with Clearleap's Stream On Demand Solution. Stream On Demand is a cloud-based IP content management and delivery system designed to let service providers create an operator-branded subscriber experience such as those offered by Netflix, Amazon and Hulu by streaming content directly to connected set-tops, devices and TV sets.Clearleap and GLDS are demonstrating the joint solution at Expo. The demo features the joint solution operating on a Roku set-top box, an LG Smart TV, a TiVo DVR and an iPad tablet. The Clearleap solution is designed to enable delivery to any IP connected device and allow operators to provide their own branded IP video services solution rather than investing in a new IP infrastructure. The integrated solution addresses content management and delivery to billing and subscriber management.Orbitel Communications, serving more than 9,500 residential and business cable TV and HSD access subscribers in Maricopa, AZ, launched the Clearleap/GLDS solution in October.
