Mariana Islands
DOCOMO PACIFIC is partnering with ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS) to offer a whole-home video service featuring live, on-demand, and streaming capabilities for its customers in Guam and the Mariana Islands.
DOCOMO PACIFIC selected ARRIS's MG1 video gateway and E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) to power its newly launched 100 Mbps high-speed broadband service and establish a pathway to gigabit speeds.
DOCOMO PACIFIC is a subsidiary of NTT DOCOMO, which provides service to more than 70 million mobile customers in Japan.
Thailand
Thai service provider Advanced Info Service Public (AIS) is upgrading to Netcracker Technology's Netcracker 12 back office platform, including its Revenue Management solution, and has also extended its use of Netcracker's Professional Services.
AIS provides mobile, fixed broadband and digital services to approximately 41 million subscribers in Thailand.
India
CDN provider Brightcove (NASDAQ:BCOV) is expanding into India with several customer wins and the launch of a new office in Mumbai. The company's customer wins in India include:
- Sony Liv, a VOD service that is owned by Sony Pictures Networks India
- The Viral Fever, an online content creator that recently launched an OTT entertainment channel, TVFPlay
- Dekkho, a streaming video service specializing in delivering premium content from Indian content creators
- Hero Talkies, a SVOD OTT service that specializes in streaming Tamil movie content across 80 countries
- Republic World TV, a newly launched Indian English-language news channel streaming across satellite, cable and online
