CASSCOMM (CCMI) reports that it is continuing construction in Pleasant Plains, Ilinois to upgrade its current coax system to fiber to the home (FTTH) services.
Pleasant Plains businesses currently have the option to receive fiber-optic services and CCMI said it is now ready to begin connecting residents.
The company has offered high-quality telecommunications services to its customers since 1898, and has been a family-owned business for over a hundred and twenty years.
CCMI provides cable TV, internet and telephone services to thirty-two communities and has started rebuilding its networks to offer FTTH broadband connectivity.
The fiber-optic services will allow residents the ability to have equal download and upload speeds via gigabyte symmetrical speeds.
Also with this fiber upgrade, the broadband services provider will launch a new TV platform dubbed “CASSCOMM TV." The new platform offers a crisper image, a more compact digital box, a streaming app, and cloud DVR ability.
American Fiber crews have been assisting CCMI in its other communities to upgrade their systems from coax to fiber optics. Over the next 3 to 4 months the company announced that Pleasant Plains residents will see CASSCOMM and American Fiber construction crews working on the network upgrade.
Casey French, CCMI's marketing and public relations director commented:
“We are thrilled to start this upgrade in Pleasant Plains and offer the residents this great service. As technology advances and grows, the need to stay connected is an important priority now more than ever. Fiber optics is a necessity that our communities need not only to help them grow with new business adventures, but also help the current residents have the ability to work from home, stream, gaming, and more.”
