The 56-Gbaud platform uses fifth-generation PAM4 technology and includes PAM4 DSP, linear TIA, and drivers that enable 10-W 400GbE data center optical modules. The platform features an API-based DSP software suite that will enable quick time to market with the right tradeoffs in power and performance for data center optical interconnects.

Judge’s comment: “Getting to ‘single lambda’ 100G has been a massive industry effort, as serial 100G has always been the goal but technology just wasn't ready. Current four- and two-channel versions were a stopgap measure until technology could get to serial 100G. A key limitation was the availability of a PHY that could do the PAM4 encoding/decoding at sufficient speeds. This product solves that problem.”
