Valuates Reports predicts 800G optical transceiver market will grow to more than $898 Million by 2029

April 16, 2024
North America dominates the market due in part to investments in hyperscale data centers.

Valuates Reports announced in an April 15 press release that it expects the 800G optical transceiver market to reach $898.6 Million by 2029, a 14% CAGR for the market that, as of 2022, was valued at $356 million.

This growth is driven largely, according to Valuates Reports, by companies and consumers producing and consuming more data, which is increasing bandwidth and data transfer rates demanded by data centers. Also driving the growth are advances in coherent optics and silicon photonics.

Valuates Reports relayed that North America dominates the 800G optical transceiver market due to the early adoption of networking technologies, a large concentration of data centers, advantageous governmental regulations, and substantial investments in hyperscale data centers, 5G, and cloud services.
