The Japan Internet Exchange Co., Ltd (JPIX), the largest Internet Exchange in Japan, has selected DXM10-10 and DXM10-5R optical transport systems from XKL LLC, a provider of enterprise fiber-optic networking equipment, to power its network.

The fully integrated DXM systems provide 100Gb Ethernet bandwidth and offer JPIX added reliability with lower latency across its multiple 10 Gigabit network routes.

With a diverse network and more than 100 global customers, including cable operators, Internet service providers, and content providers, JPIX serves as a neutral exchange point for Internet traffic in Japan.

“Due to our large base of service providers and high volume of traffic across our Exchange points, we require systems that not only provide added stability, but also offer us ways to expand in the future,” states Takejiro Takabayashi of JPIX. “XKL provides us an easy to manage solution with added scalability.”

XKL's DXM10-10 and DXM10-5R are part of the company’s DarkStar optical transport system product line, designed to enable enterprise and carrier clients to deploy optical networks with large capacity requirements easily.

“XKL's DarkStar optical transport systems provide a robust, highly scalable platform for world-class carriers, service providers, and enterprises to reduce latency and control data transmission costs across metro and long distance networks," says Len Bosack, CEO of XKL LLC. “Our fully integrated, slim-line design provides an efficient way for companies to interlink sites across a global network footprint.”
