Low-latency fiber-optic network service provider Hudson Fiber Network (HFN) has deployed Vello Systems’ CX50-T 10G cards within its New York and New Jersey metro exchange routes, Vello Systems says.

Low-latencyfiber-optic network service provider Hudson Fiber Network (HFN) has deployed Vello Systems’ CX50-T 10G cards within its New York and New Jersey metro exchange routes, Vello Systems says.

"A reliable and high-quality infrastructure with the lowest possible latency is mission-critical for buy-side, sell-side and financial service providers and this deployment is a crucial element to their operations," said Keith Muller, CEO, Hudson Fiber Network. "Our relationship with Vello Systems provides our clients with a competitive industry advantage and keeps HFN at the forefront of the low-latency, carrier race."

Each CX50-T optical service card supports deployment of five 10-Gbps circuits, according to Vello Systems. Designed for low-latency, each card adds less than 5 nanoseconds of latency, the company asserts. The cards are part of the CX Family of cloud infrastructure systems and are deployed within the five-slot CX4000 system.
