Cologix introduces dark fiber connectivity at its SV1 data center

New connectivity solutions are enabled through a partnership with Bandwidth IG.

Cologix announced on March 26 that it will introduce dark fiber connectivity at its SV1 digital edge data center thanks to a partnership with metro dark fiber provider Bandwidth IG.

Cologix reports that the partnership will help the 84,000-square-foot Silicon Valley facility meet the demand for mission-critical connectivity, driven largely by AI and IoT devices.

Peg Hallberg, head of products at Cologix, said in a press release, “Being a leader in network-neutral interconnection and edge data centers, Cologix is dedicated to providing our customers with cutting-edge solutions to fuel their interconnection strategies in Silicon Valley and beyond. This collaboration signifies a milestone for the Silicon Valley data center market, delivering unprecedented high-capacity network solutions to our customers. Bandwidth IG CEO Bruce Garrison said in the same press release, “As the demand for dark fiber services increases, the need for more truly diverse routes has never been higher. By working with Cologix, we’re delivering mission-critical dark fiber to a highly sought-after data center environment.”
